If you read my other thread I got curious about fretless guitars this morning so I decided to knock the frets out of my old plywood POS. The fretwork sucked anyway. Brace yourself and behold the results!
The pickup is absolutely terrible and the strings are too thin and 2 years old so I just dimed the gain on my ValveKing to get a somewhat "useable" tone but even then with a nasty rosewood fretboard it hardly sustains at all. I was able to put the string action low as hell though so it is fun to shred on despite my lack of good intonation.
Some of the stuff on the internet says to clean the fretboard and fill in the slots with epoxy but I did neither I am just playing it the way it is. Fun stuff
