Not sure if any of you guys read Blabbermouth but Metal Church did a press release over the weekend regarding their upcoming release and mentioned my name. Last week they invited me to record a few solos for a song called "Congregation", which I did and luckily they liked it. I'm pretty psyched... I've done alot of recording and some large gigs over the years but have never had anything published on a large scale like this!

Cool you'll be so stoked you'll be giving guitars away?

Wow, how did this come about? How are you connected to Metal Church? That's awesome.

Cool. Though, their website says they just got Rick Van Zandt as their new guitar player like a month ago. What's up with that?

I'm not joining the band... just played on one song. My hope is to get some more studio work out of this. It came together because I'm doing another project with Jeff Plate, (the drummer in Metal Church and TSO) and he put in a good word for me.

Rick Van Zandt is their permanent new guy and he did most of the record, but Chris Caffery played on a few tracks and I played on one track.

Right on, one of my faves! Congrats man!

I'll alway remember one gig in I was at in '84 or so when David Wayne proclaimed "Udo Dirkschnider has balls the size of cantaloupes!"

                      I'm still confused...

that is cool news matt. I was a huge fan of the David Wayne (R.I.P.) era Metal Church. And I do like that last couple of discs from them with the new singer. Very cool you were a part of it.
