short ditties

Here's a couple of really short clips I did today for fun. Jalopy has two rythym parts, the second one is E,D,E,C9,B7 which is a hoot to play over: just use a Em pentatonic and add in C,A#, and F# for spooky sounding lines.

It was five tracks I probably.2 rythym, 2 harmony and a drum track

oh yes and it was all just a soloist for both tracks, and some different pod settings

So you got the lead sound (The scale runs) with just 2 tracks? Excellent sound settings on the pod. Were they stock settings or something you have tweeked?

I need a pod 101 course...

They were stock settings (this is the 2.0, not xt)

One track had some chorus and a slight delay, the other was dry, I think. One track was a "california crunch" (old boogie MkIII?) and the other track may have been either the same model or one called "modern class A", both with the gain at around 3/4 or so. The rythym tracks could have been anything, can't remember, only that it was the neck pickup for one and the gain was at 1/2 or slightly less.

I find mixing and matching settings works best with the POD, and keeping the gain down a bit seems to help. I don't really have preferred settings, I just kinda fiddle with it till I find something suitable for whatever it is.

it was actually just an improvised solo at first, and I went back and doubled it since it seemed like it would benefit from it. I think it was supposed to be the start of a longer song or something but I wasn't interested in carrying on with it.
