Hey, this is great man! Don't get me wrong, it's not really my thing - you cite AC/DC as an influence, and I'd much prefer this to be much dirtier. It sounds too commercial, but bearing that in mind:
I do like your singing. You must have a naturally cool speaking accent! You're not singing in higher registers, but that's cool, it makes it easier for people to sing along.
I don't like the solo. It's like you need to get a few beers and really go crazy while playing it. Sounds very sterile and kinda bland to me.
But overall, I really like it. Here's another band it reminds me of, Towers of London. Check them out too.
Personally, I'd go for a much harder guitar tone, for both rythm AND lead, but for what it is (a demo!) I think it's great!
Thanks a lot for your comments!! You're right, it needs better guitar tone and I surely need to work on the solo. I think it down right sucks. The issue is, I'm am more of a rythm guitarist than I am a soloist. But I'm working on it. The more I listen to the song the more I hear wrong with the song. But then, that's just a matter of opinion too. Jeezz. What a pain.
Anyway, I'll keep working on it and if not with this song, maybe I'll get it right with another one. LOL

If you don't like the solo, and don't really like trying to come up with one, why not just keep it really simple? You know, just a few notes, bent and sustained? Maybe doubled.
Don't be too hard on yourself though, it's a great demo. Once you get the hang of the software you'll get there. It's a pain trying to learn all the tricks of recording software, unless you don't work and can spend all day doing it.
Big thumbs up from me though.

Sorry it took me so long to reply.
Thanks alot for the encouragment. I've been working pretty hard on trying to find a nice sound. Something that I love and that doesn't sound so fake. It's pretty difficult though. I've recently got me a copy of amplitube and Kefir with a whole bunch of impulse files (thanks to a member here) and I've been playing with that all week. It's so cool how that stuff works.
I also uploaded something new I created with all that cool software to my soundclick website. I won't post a link here since I've already posted one in this forum. Check it out and let me know what you think.
