  • ENGL SE - South of Heaven (clip inside)

Recorded this at lunchtime today: http://slaytanicdannym.com/DannyM_SoH.mp3

1 track panned left, 1 track panned right for rhythms.
No multi tracking, layering, post eq or FX.
Lead and fill tracks are in the center with a little bit of cubase delay.

I used the ESP MII for one side and the Jackson DK1 for the other...'cept I don remember which is which.....LOL!
Also one rhythm track is lead 2 (channel 4) and the other is lead 1 (channel 3) ......'cept I don remember which is which.....

Recorded direct useing a cab impulse file.

Only had time for 1 take on all tracks so there are some errors.

          Thanks Joe.

I'm a big slayer fan and have seen them many times.
I got to see them back in the 80's on the 'Reign In Blood' tour and then again on the 'South of Heaven' tour.....
I was up in front by the stage a few feet away from Tom, Jeff and Kerry

            Sounds excellent!
It's not as good as the original, or better, as some are saying. But it's great!

                  Thanks!

Here is a link to the zip file that contains a bunch of cab impulse files.

It has a 1960A folder that has over 30 cab impulse files.

I use Kefir to load the file.

ps. If that link doesnt work search the web for "Axewizard guitar cab IR collection v1"

thanks bro,,I think i actually have that set already,,, do happen to ever hear a high pitched noise when you use Kifer and put the mix at 100%? I love that program cause it has such a small impact on the cpu and i can have quite a few instances running at the same time ,, but even if i just use one i still get that high pitched sound with the mix at 100. revalver, SIR, or boogex don't do it but are all kinda cpu hogs for me... and i have 3 gigs of ram

I always set it to 100%. I use Cubase SX v2.01 and I've never noticed any high pitch noise with Kefir.

Hey, that brings me back (used to cover that a long time ago, like going on 20 years or so, in another life). Well done (although the drum track is 'eh - but then again, Lombarbo is the man).
