  • Working on a new diddy!

Once again, I was playing around in cubase and came up with this little diddy. It's not even close to finished and this is a much different style than I'm used to playing so the guitar may be a little choppy. But it's a start.

I hope you all like it.

Jazzy Demo - This is just something small I've been working on. Hope you like it!! #indie #rock #instrumental #metal #rockNRoll #jackson #charvel

I liked the premise. Wasn't in love with the tone. And it didn't sound like there was any bass. The rhythm groove was smooth. I really like grooves like that. A thick bass line would go really well with it. The lead was done well. It was slow, smooth, consistent. I just didn't like the tone ... a little too gritty, but not a good grit. Oh, and there was that one note at 1:13 that sounded like it should have been a G instead of a G#.

Thanks alot for listening. There is bass, maybe it's too deep? I don't know I can hear it. The tone is something I'm working on. Actually it's been something I've been working on for a long time. I just can't seem to find anything I really like. I've tried the digital way, with impulse files, micing my amp, nothing seems to fit what I want. Maybe some suggestions will work. I have a Charvel model 4, a Johnson JT-50 amp, Marshall 1960AX, an SM58, SM57, and tons of software.

        Thanks again for listening.

nice...kind of agree about the tone, but moreover the lead is too up front in the mix. By the way its ditty not diddy.

Yeah, the lead sounds a little loud to me too. I'm gonna spend some time on the song tomorrow, work on my tone and my levels. Hopefully I'll figure it all out. Then maybe I'll have a nicer ditty.

            Thanks for checking it out.
