my opinions...
the sound quality and techniques are good
but i think the solo seems like "going no where"...like up and down repeatedly ....maybe needs some climax..or some tune in it? and some parts seems doesnt fit the backing track? there's one bend.. is off the track i remember........
thats only what i think..."constructive criticism" basically....but overall its very good and at least better than me

You asked for it and here we go.

First - it's either you're not playing to the Key or your guitar is out of tune.

Second - You're trying too hard to play too many notes at a time.

Third - Your playing is on the "dirty" side.

Sorry if my comments are harsh.

For your info, my playing suck ass. And i'm pretty such that i'm the worse player in JCF

Re: Improvising Mp3

i think the nig thing here is...when you're doing a full instrumental song, try developing a "theme" or sequence of notes you can come back to almost like a chorus in a vocal song...it gives the listener a chance to "reset" and gives them something to grab onto as well...otherwise it just ends up sounding like one is noodling with nowhere to go...d.m.

Re: Improvising Mp3

You're very good, I must admit, but I am a fan of short solos, because solos don't make song sound good. They can just spoil them.

Maybe because I'm not that good in soloing.

That's my opinion.

Thanks for the replies! I don't want anyone to think that they came off as harsh or whatever, because I build off this stuff!

Theme and direction seems it would be worth working on, so thats what I'll do.

I'm off to on work it! Thanks everyone!

hmmm, well ok,
there's no direction,or motivation, what is the theme? kinda just sounds like noodling around.
the tech. side is ok, but sloppy in spots.could be a cool little thing if it was about half as long and take all the coolest little riffs and put them together.hope that wasn't to dickish

Re: Improvising Mp3

Technique wise, you have the chops you just need to figure out what to do with them. Start by singing EVERYTHING you play. If you CAN'T sing it, then it didn't come from inside you. This is a tough excercise but a VERY good one!! Also, you will have to take a breath much like a sax or trumpet player and that usually leads to better solos since you have to take a breath and not just string along note after note. Good luck!!
