  • Enjoy some oldschool

I posted this here many years ago, probably back on the EZboard days.
So likely very few have heard it.

The filesharing discussion prompted me to brint it out of retirement.
Was just some fun I did about 8-9 years ago after an all night bud burning event.

It's a simple marraige between some metal riffin and dialogue from a PC video game from '97.

My first introduction to using PC software for mixing (Cakewalk).
I think gear was my Jackson AT Pro, EMG81's, Mesa Studio preamp direct to a Tascam mixer which output to PC. Generic drum machine samples loaded onto my audio card's memory (uber PITA) for sequencing via midi. Any FX added by the software. And of course the lyrics/dialogue. All sampled from a video game Kingpin - Life of Crime.

The filesharing aspect is what fascinated me. I emailed the site admins associated to this game with a link, and they in turn put it on their front page. Not long after, I could find copies on Napster and WinMX which I thought was absolutely fantastic and amazing. Several indexing sites soon snagged copies for archive and still exist. Random people are still somehow finding it and downloading it. Meh, a bedroom musician and his 10 minutes of fame.

Hope you enjoy and have a laff. Vulgarity at its finest.
