  • I Call This ANYTHING BUT THE BLUES

Bored sitting around with a screwed up knee and so I plugged in and played over a backing track. First take no edits - I know too much reverb.

But its not a mic'd amp - just straight into an Akai DSP16 so I had to crank distortion and reverb to get any kind of sustain at all.

Ended up sitting there at about a 45 degree angle with my leg dangling off the couch. So really bad angle when I was holding the guitar trying to play.

Sudden ending - did not fade out.

The very end is a little f**ked up - did not have that amp thing for any type of squeals, feedback or harmonics. But would have been cool had I had a real amp.

I named the track this cause I don't really play much blues tunes.

So now I got a Marshall head with a speaker emulator and can plug directly into the Akai with - will have to do some tunes with that set up to see how it sounds.

OK - off to drink for the weekend

For an ad-lib it's got some really nice playing. That backing track is horrendous though!
