First bit is from a solo off a song I'm working on so I figure I'd ask what you guys think of it.. The direction I guess.. It's meant to be quick and simple, so yeah.. I got the sudden urge with the camera rolling to try Trilogy Suite Op.5 and I went for it, still a bit slow but hopefully I can get that one up to speed within the next millennium.

I don't know if it's just the shitty mic on the camera, but your tone wasn't very nice?

I'm not gonna presume to tell a guy with your chops how to play. You're technically way ahead of me, I've never bothered learning sweeps and stuff, so....It sounded good, I liked it, can't offer a lot more than that my man!

He would love to play drums with you. He does write some really cool originals. It would be cool if we had more talent in Cleveland. But that's always been pretty slim pickens.

Hah, that's cool Vin digs my shit, I appreciate it. I really want to re-do that Engines of Hate solo one day, I'm not too happy with the results now. I don't really feel I'm ready for a band, truthfully. As of two days ago I started posting bulletins and what not to see if anyone would be interested, because I figure being in a band will help me get better, it's just hard finding the right musicians. I want to be in a band where everyone is better then me (not saying I'm better then anyone), but I want to learn a lot and be influenced, then branch out and do my own thing.

I've mainly been looking for drummers, they're always the creative fucks and if you're solid with a drummer, your band will sound tight as shit!

Great chops. Keep doing what you're doing. As for finding people to put together a band, be prepared to meet lots of guys who aren't very good. They'll tell you "I'm a great..." singer, drummer, bassist, or whatever, but most of the time you'll be better than them. I can't even remember how many "singers" I checked out before saying screw it, I'll do my own singing.

Yeah It's going to be very hard to find the musicians I want. I have no problem waiting because I don't think I'm ready for a band. I do forsee some Dave-itius or Yngwie-itus though, not in terms of ego, but I'd rather wait to find the perfect musicians, and I don't really want to compramise. No one really wants to play the music I do, too, so that's just making it even harder.

All that "core" shit is in now and I absolutely hate it, thrash is huge again too but that can only last so long.. I want to play Racer X/ Cacophony/ YJM / Pantera type of stuff... Gonna be hard.

Y If Im doin fine in a band im sure youd do better.but ya finding the people is the hardest part for my ad I put we played neoclassical inspired tech thrash and wanted him to be jazz influenced I shit my pants when a guy called and tried out and actually fit the bill

Great shit there man, only 3 years? You learned quick. Hope you find some good musicians...you should take advantage of the thrash boom and find some good musicians. Even if it dies out big time, if your band is tight enough you'll be able to stick through it.

Thanks, yeah about 3 years in Jan or so. I like listening to thrash but I want more diversity, the thrash wave is pretty huge atm, and a band right from my town is probably the biggest new thrash band around, they got signed to Century Media and seem to be doing well..
