    yes, this sounds interessting.
I'd not really judge it as a one-day-wonder if it didn't have the same effect the next day.
maybe it was just one of these days you don't really feel like playing no matter what strings you put on.

maybe I should try some different strings once in a while too.
been playing the same brand for years now (pretty much from the start) and I only play something different if I need new strings badly and my "home-brand" is not available in store....

now you can just hope your hands don't work the best on crap-strings.
I could send you mine once I noodled the shit out of them if that's the case...

What I've found is once I get used to one of my guitars with a set of strings, I feel uncomfortable on other guitars for a while.

In 2009, I got my Dave Murray strat which came with 10's. I played it exclusively for 2 weeks. When I went back to my ProMod with 9's, I was at a loss. So I converted that one to 10's as well. Then I got my Adrian Smith, which came with 9's. I played it that way for a while, but I never got really into it - so I switched that one to 10's. Now all my guitars are 10's.

        Slacker

My old guitar tech told me to keep 9's on my Charvel's and my JEM. Run 10's on my LP.

I have run 10's on my Charvels and it's all the same to me. But I did run 9's once on the LP and I was getting my pick caught in between the strings more often due to the slack. I switched it back to 10's and once again I was OK.

this would be because of the LP beeing a shorter scale I guess.

I find playing with thinner strings MUCH easier. I don't like their feel but at least I think a lot less about how I'm fighting with the guitar (in fact I haven't felt this relaxed for a while now if ever)... so really... I think I'll get some Ernie Ball 9's and see how they go... they are a raelly nice crisp string. The ones I have at the moment as I said are really soft in feel. I don't like them left hand wise but right hand wise I can finally play stuff at speeds I was never able to play at with 10s.
