Is there some secret ritual to get the hand to relax???

I'll play a few chords together to practice switching then my hand just stops...my fingers won't do it. Makes me wanna scream cos it pisses me off so much...ok not literally.

I play this every day before getting to the real work:

My fingers usually are completely warmed up and ready to go around the interval scale patterns section...I guess it's about 25-30 minutes in.

Depends on what your hand will be relaxing........ seriously though, I find it helps some times to just mentally disconnect your hand from your brain, i.e. dont think about what youre doing, just let your hand do it. I have to do this when doing descending scale runs such as:

G----5-4-2---4-2-----2
D----------5-----5-4---5-4-2--5-4-2---4-2-----2
A------------------------------------5-----5-4---5-4-2- etc

In order to do this in all pull offs as fast as I can, I just have to let go and let my hand do its thing.
