Dude: Go to as many guitar stores that is resonable for the amount of time you have.
Play all the brands in resonable distance.
Play more than one of the same brand because they differ (Import vs. American made)
Find the neck you like.
Play not only Fenders, Gibsons, and Ibanezes but play custom gutiars like Tom Anderson and Zion and Warrior.
Find the neck and keep on practicing along the way.
