  • jazz help?

well it finally happened folks. my obsession of jazz, finally leaked into my guitar playing, and John Pizzarelli spearheaded it (and well THe Gershwins and Ella and Billie, and Coltrane and...)

Anyways, are there any tab sites to help a guy find some classic songs? or different variations?

and are there any sites that can help my jazz chord theory, and technique at all? John's Live At The Birdland is Insane, and i'd kill to have some of that technique, which is branched off of George Van Eps.

    help?

Mickey Baker book 1 is a good start. It's pretty in depth. Al DiMeola chords, scales and arpeggios is another good book. Also this site seems alright. There are a couple tabs, but some of it you need to have a little background in theory.

yeah, i had a tutor of mine (really cool guy/musician), get me that mickey baker book on a cd/pdf. thing. i have yet to check it out though.

i'll check the site out. I need to brush up on my theory anyways. 7-8 years as a horn/woody musician, but my theory still kinda stinks!
