If you are just starting out, practice the three finger technique. As you have said old habits are hard to break. I am just a bass player(no guitar) and have always used the two finger plunk. I wish I had devoted more time to working on the three finger method. Triplets are much easier with the three finger style and it is easier to span acroos the strings. The bass player for Death Angel actually uses all four fingers, try that if you really want to be a freak of nature. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
