      I just checked, I've been doing the ring fingernail method all this time!

          Hey, that middle fingernail technique works great!

          Apart from the traditional thumb/pick method, the other technique I used was to switch holding my pick using thumb/middle (like EVH) and using my index fingernail.

          But I like the middle fingernail method better...it's more of a crisp pinch action.

            I use the flesh on the thumb but done them so long it's like second nature now.
