my friend is a lefty playing right and has the sickest downstrokes of anyone i know. doesnt shred really though.

I'm a lefty who plays righty and I don't really think I have any particular strengths or weaknesses (well, other than the fact that all my playing is a weakness). I'm glad I learned to play right handed though, because of the total lack of left handed guitars out there.

Playing righty just feels natural, I can't even hold a lefthander convincingly!
I believe that such notaries as Gary Moore, Tony MacAlpine and Mark Knopfler are also lefties.
Don't forget - Hendrix wrote right-handed!

our vox/gtr player in my Death Metal band was a lefty who played either way.Really good gtr player and had a wide array of infuences which made him a solid rythm/lead player.Too bad he got addicted to heroin and gave himslef hep C.What a waste...

oh shit another one hear, you know, "Leftys are in their right mind." i think it helps with finger dexderity being a lefty that plays right handed, I also seem to have a knack for legato peices and for doing great fret stretching while playing.

Lefty playing righty here. My guitar teacher told me to switch. I was 15, and it was the right decision. I stil suck and can blame it on him [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
