Re: Right hand hammer-on (tapping) technique quest

The main question I have about tapping is what settings to use and how your both hands are positioned in order to mute the way they do. When I tap I always get too much backgroundnoise and feedback.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I sometimes use the neck pickup for tapping, since it gives a fuller, rounder tone.

As for string noise, any finger that ain't tappin' is mutin'. Move your hands around a bit and you'll figure out which fingers mute which strings best for you. Also tapping cleanly and with authority helps keep the other "noises" from coming out of your guitar.

Re: Right hand hammer-on (tapping) technique quest

I am a new member here and took my time today reading many posts here.First of all i want to say i do not want to start war here( guess it has already started) well.Twisteramps , i see you have got a lot of friends here and you feel yourself as a guitar hero or something. So you basically say and do whatever you like, and dont feel respect for others.Seems like you enjoy spamming the board with your on stuff(mp3 and vids), but it also seems like you dont listen to other people posts. It is weird when You post something i am sure you want to hear others opinions, but why the bloody hell you feel that you dont need to check out others stuff, this is a community , here this forum is not all about great Twisteramps, we have a lot of members here who deserve respect and attention as well .i read that some mebers complain that you make vids to sell guitars ,thats not nice.Starting to call names here in third person was definitely a D!CK move.you feel really safe here cause some young palyers like your playing, dont use that against other memebers , who dare to say that you are an arrogant sack of fucking idiot. Why i made this replay? Cause i now guy like you , and sooner or later i would have said something ,so better to make this clear now. This seems to be nice forum, and it doesnt desever all that shit it gets from you.I am sure you are a nice guy, but show some respect and youll see thing will et better.

              Kind regards

STFU. I hardly ever listen to MP3s here, and when I do, I hardly ever post about it. How do you know what Pete listens to? Pete's a great, helpful guy, not a spammer and has done nothing wrong. He doesn't give anybody shit unless provoked.

I have a copy of an interview with EVH where he says he pulls off the tap upwards. Not that it matters. Just a "fwiw". Then again, EVH holds the pick between his thumb and middle finger.

This is great. Either Justin has a split personality, or it's the gathering of the Nancy Boys in this thread. Hilarious! Keep it up guys, this is entertaining. Are you two long time companions or can you be married in Britain?
