I just wanted some help with my tapping technique!!!

lol sorry mate, but i was called a nancy boy and a wanker.Looking at the advice given here i would say you have enough food for thought.Another tip is to tap those notes loudly on either hand-that way any unwanted open strings are not heard

Never saw him post his name, maybe I missed it. Guess you two do have a history. Interesting how he comes in here as an 'impartial observer' and the first thing he does is comment on my cruelties against The Justin J Wakely, esquire.

I'm expecting a further influx of defenders of JJW to come streaming in. Maybe he put an ad at the local glory hole or something for people to come support him, who knows?

It's very amusing chaps. Carry on.

Your not even orignal in following that line-you sad deluded fucker.lol
i can keep this going anytime mate even if your a worthless cunt
And why would i want to send you an email? and miss out on the fun of calling out spammers like you on the board

[/ QUOTE ]

Let's just think about this comment for a second... you've complimented my playing before, in threads where I posted clips. Now I can't play. That's fine, maybe you thought I never could play in the first place.

So... is it better to leave fake comments for people's clips than just to listen and not post comments at all? Some of your self righteous anger was because I didn't post enough comments about people's clips on here... you know, the 'brotherhood of musicians' and all that... so is lying a better thing? Again, your thoughts of my playing are meaningless, it just seems kinda hypocritical to me that you do this.

Pete

Pete your not a bad player realy-and i have complimented you on your tunes here.Shame you seem so arogant as to not bother to check out other people?Even people who give you friendly feedback dont get looked at by you unless there friends.Anyway i will make sure to ignore you and your musical clips/vids and you can ignore other peoples tunes(unless there admin so things can get back to normal
BTW did you sell that guitar?

Pete i wouldnt expect most of my friends to come in here as they do the sensible thing and stay away from flamers like you-its not worth there musical reputation as they are great players with Pro sites.Oliver has been told to come here ages ago-i always tell people to come to this forum as its the best one out there for advice.I have the jacksonforum proudly displayed in my Link section on my site-i am on other boards(gwar/ect) and i will never add a link to them as this site is better

Re: Right hand hammer-on (tapping) technique quest

I like that little dig about sully being an admin and that's the only reason why I replied about his clip. I've been over to his house (he's been to mine) and I've known him for years. Hell, I was on this board and knew him before he was an admin. That clip was one of several he's been telling me about for awhile.

I listen to a lot of clips on here - whether I comment or not is irrelevant.

Here's something to think about... your short major/mixo lesson had 442 views. 22 replies. DO THE MATH... that's 420 people who viewed it without replying. Even though that munber is partially flawed (from the times you revisited it, or people looked at it more than once) it's still a low view/comment ratio.

The thing I did - 477 views on the 2nd HFT video, 43 comments. I'm just happy to have 477 or however many views of people that checked it out. I'm NOT pissed at however many didn't comment. Thing is, I post clips to share music, not to get comments. I appreciate kind words and do consider honest criticism... but I've been playing long enough and am set in my ways regarding how I play that it's not going to hurt my feelings if nobody comments.

People DO listen to clips posted here, and some comment, some don't. I will admit to a bias for guys that I've known here for years - I saw Chuckracer posted some Article 13 stuff. I loved the clips he posted from that band in the past, and wanted to check it out.

Strangely enough, after I posted in a thread about how if anyone has any problems with me not commenting on their mp3s or videos to message or email me, and it was nothing personal and no affront was intended... I haven't had one person say a peep to me about it. The invitation still stands.

I still don't see what gave you the moral imperative to give me grief regarding this.

Pete

It just seems awfully funny how a guy who never posts suddenly shows up, says how "impartial" he is... here's a quote from one of his mangled posts:

am on no ons side i just told what seemd worng here (imo) , i am speaking for myself

C'mon! The guy came into the threads where we were fighting to back you up and then fucking lies about it. "I was just happening to check out this fine message board at random and noticed this horrible twisteramps guy". Jeez.

If you're going to gather support and have it look credible, don't call the guy by his first name after he goes on about how impartial he is! It makes him look like a lying sack of shit and it makes you look stupid.

Re: Right hand hammer-on (tapping) technique quest

With a little bit of due dilligence you might have seen that I didn't say a single unkind word to justin on this board *ever* until he decided to give me a ration of shit in another thread. Hell, he even threatened me physically, which is kinda funny, but I won't go into that - it just adds to the 'internet tough guy' bullshit. Then he insulted my playing... and *I'm* the arrogant one?

Have a great day.

lol pete get the record right-dont try putting a diferent spin on this as your fucking way out of order here

I called you out for gear/vid spamming when you did the original VH teacher tune and mentioned you never responded to other peoples tunes here-You gave me an arogant reply saying it wasnt any of my concern

So i called you the fucking king of spammers in returnAnd i take it the admin here must have deleted your thread/vid as it went?
I never told the mods to do anything-i couldnt give a toss realy.

Then Pete calls me a nancy boy(i think he has a fixation with shirt tail lifters and glory holes-mind you with what he is packing i spose he could easily slide it under a door)and a wanker in this thread.you can see the rest of it and how it got just be reading the later replys.I believe i told him i would like to see him call me that in person, and i still wouldThis chicken Called me names hiding behind the security of his fucking monitor-you started it pete dont fucking lie and play the victim

and yes your arogant-but so fucking what your also a muppet
and i have given you more of my time than you deserve-

Re: Right hand hammer-on (tapping) technique quest

So... I started it by offending you by not replying to other people's clips and posting video clips that you deemed spam.

Wow, what color is the sky on planet crackpot?

By the way, keep up the amusing 'in person' threats. They are the funniest parts of your postings.

One day you'll likely find out (hopefully not too painfully) that the guy who puffs his chest out about how big and bad he is generally isn't.

here's the official end of this shit.

jjw, from what i've seen, you started the whole shitstorm in the thread that got moved by calling pete out for not posting replies to other people's threads, and just posting his own stuff. pete responded, it got out of hand, so i moved it.

i appreciate your constructive additions to this particular folder, but this stuff ends now. i'm not saying that either one of you is in the right or wrong, but from what i've seen, you started it. it ends now. this is the only warning that will be given, and this is not open for discussion.

I had to pick up a guitar to figure out which way I do it because I don't think about these kind of things unless asked

I'm the same as Ace, I tap with my middle finger and pull upwards. I just tried it pulling it down and it made no difference to me but for some reason its more comfortable or natural pulling up to me.

Yeah, I just always did it that way. Maybe it's subconcious so I can be in the "ready" for a downstroke with the pick, but I never really thought about it until this thread...

I also pull upwards except if I've bent the string with my left hand. With the top three strings (GBE), there's more fingerboard exposed downwards after a bend, so I'll pull off down.
