hi
i REALLY need to work on my sweeping technique. i can play 2 and 3 string arps quite easily at decent speed, but the 5 and 6 string ones are giving me a hard time. mostly because it's kind of hard to find out whether i'm playing cleanly or not. i always think i hit one or two notes only half assed...but i'm not sure this is with distorion as well as clean.
so well.....to make a long story short, i'd like to get some ideas i can practice....big extended arps over all strings....just playing a minor at the 12th fret for 5 minutes, and then go and play a major etc is kinda boring.
i'd like to be able to incorporate some sweeping arps into my improvisations, similar to jeff loomis stuff. i'm pretty good at legato and alternate as well as economy picking, and my taps aren't too shabby, either, so sweeping is pretty much the last "big" one left
