...I've had a bit of a revalation recently.
I've recently had some problems with the skin on the ends of my fingers breaking up, and am just getting back into playing more - I used to use my rack setup all the time, which sounds great and makes it easy to sound good (i.e. the effects in it kind of hide mistakes)
Since I've started playing again, I'm using a Soldano HR50+ with no effects at all (not even reverb) and my god, my playing had improved no end - because I can hear every note (good and bad [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]), my playing has got so much more precise it's not true.
Like I said, it might sound really obvious, but I thought I'd share!
