    Opening Riff of Green Tinted 60's Mind

    Hey y'all-

    My drummer wants to play Green Tinted 60's Mind by Mr. Big.
    Listening to the tune, I am guessing that Gilbert is playing it mostly with pull-off's and hammering on the 1st and 2nd strings. However, I can't play the low a and low b (corresponding to 2nd and 4th frets on G string, the 9th and 10th notes below) to play smooth, because I have to switch over to the G string.

    Any tips?

    Ill tab it out tonight and try to send it over....but my internet is lacking right now.....Youre right though its all tapping....anyway ill make a PDF and post it for everyone.

      There is a video of Paul Gilbert giving a short lesson on how to play it floating around... It might be on the Racerxband.com site.

          I've got to work on muting the E and B strings with my left hand when I move over to the G string.

          BTW, are you living in the dorms on Mass Ave?

          I spent one semester at Berklee, back in 1990...

          Is Jon Finn still teaching there?

            Im in an apartment......Finn is still here although i havent heard him play.....Do you know don lappin?? Anyway man im happy i could help out!!

              I took my private lessons from Jon Finn. He turned me onto sweep picking (which was relatively new back then).

              Don Lappin... the name sounds vaguely familiar, but I spent most of the 90's in a drug induced haze, so...
