cheers Girlyplaya.nothing i can do about my accent so glad you like it and can understand me..lol
VH has shit loads of cool muted riff and Aint talking about love is a classic. You may also find bouncing your palm as you play opens up the voicing slightly to make it more alive.
As for the E/B triad heavy muting-you realy have to get your Pinky finger acrros the bridge saddles and angle your picking hand so you can sweep(ala YJM's Demon Driver type arp seq's)It is a real pain as you have to adjust your hand to an angle that allows the pinky muting and also allows you to sweep the shapes. If you have any clips of you playing email me and i can offer you better advice on how to improve

you all know that Wakely's actually from New Joisey and just uses the accent because he finds it great for pulling birds, right?

              Chicken's can't choke themselves, y'know

Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love is definitely THE song to practice your high-string muting.

And La Grange is the best one to learn how to do pinch harmonics.

Nail those two and you've got two of the best techniques a guitarist can have

Why is it that Brits choke chickens & spank monkeys, but down under they cuddle dingos? I thought we were the animal lovers (so to speak)? Girlyplaya - good luck with the muting - jjw helped me out on some stuff as well - good bloke (still a put-on accent though - I'm sure he'll do scouse, brummie, geordie & "cockerny" as well if you ask nicely).

Yeah, once your tone is being sucked out through brass rollers and a 5-piece saddle assembly, you hardly notice the excess noise :ROTF:

Just saw the clip on myspace Heather(tried to leave a message there but that site is sometimes buggy!!)anyway great stuff .Love that VH riffing and erruption too!very impressive, big respect your way
one word of advice would be to perhaps hold the guitar in a classical postion on your left leg rather than slouch it over your right leg!thats the way i play but i am an old fart thats done this for twenty odd years,my students find the classical postion the best for comfort and control
your a real laura croft girl arnt you!!jeeez is there anything you wont do? lol
keep it up,but remember to learn to walk before you can run.Vibrato and bluesy phrases will realy help you out and make you sound musical going for pure speed will hamper you.Make sure you practice these as well as the techy stuff
