Thanks for posting that. I will check out the vids at home later. Do you play really slow with a metronome? Do you play each note for ever click of the metronome or 4 notes in-between each click?

Petes tracks are normal speed.. the last being over a 'jam track'.
There's a couple clips that shows the pattern a couple different ways.. switching differing triad arps.

This was stuff you saw & heard alot of durin guitar competitions in the 90's.

actually you dont really need to do the whole sweep over the fretboard. in Demonstration 2 of the alexi/roope young guitar video

at the end of the interlude part alexi does a sweep - tap and he starts off over where the nexk pup would be and as he moves towards the high e he moves his hand closer to the neck and then taps.

It's just the way I do it. EVH taps with his first finger, which doesn't work for me at all - I prefer to tap with my middle, ring and pinky fingers.
