Same here. It helps having at least three guitars, though.
If I owned just one guitar, I'd probably stay with either E or Eb.

I'm always tuned to E/D on my electrics, but Eb for all my acoustics.

E, the odd time I'll tune to D.

While I find myself using Standard tuning a fair amount, I love the sound of Eb tuning, and when I'm just jamming with the drum machine on my keyboard I'm almost always in Eb. But for the sake of playing other songs, I also use Drop D (DADGBe), Db tuning (Db Ab Db Gb Bb eb), and one step down. My Tele is also almost always tuned to Open G for Rolling Stones style stuff. My tuning for guitars and their string choices are like this:

Charvel CX391: Standard; DR Tite Fit Lite-n-Tite (9-11-16-24-32-42)

Ibanez RG5EX1: Eb; DR Tite Fit Lite-n-Tite (9-11-16-24-32-42)

Jackson DK2T: Drop D, Eb ; GHS Zakk Wylde Boomers (10-13-17-36-52-60) OR DR Tite Fit Lite-n-Tite (9-11-16-24-32-42)

Squier Tele: Open G, Drop D (For Run Like Hell by Pink Floyd); Ernie Ball Super Slinkys (9-11-16-24-32-42)

OLP MM1: Eb ; Ernie Ball Super Slinkys (9-11-16-24-32-42)

Transposed (standard) D, Eb, and E. I'm really not a fan of "dropped" or "open-chord" tunings.

Actually i was thinking of getting a digitech pitch shifter or something & put it at the beginning of my rig, to do transpose tunings without having to constantly retune whatever instrument i'm holding, or having to use another one (yeah im a lazy bastard =D)

I used to only play in E for the longest time, because I thought tuning down was completely unnecessary.

I'm still against downtuning for the sake of downtuning, but I've grown to love the sound of a guitar tuned to Eb. There's just more "juice" to it!

I don't like D tuning nearly as much, because at that point, I think the sound starts getting duller.

I don't do drop tunings at all.

i dont understand why tune to Eb .. i mean its the same thing as E just half a step lower.. doesnt give you any special abilities like other tuning where you can power chord easier..
its useful when you wanna jam to other bands that play in Eb
my guitar is always on E because its an FR and im not changing tunings on it.. and my les paul copy is on Eb because i play a lot of GNR on it
If the crowd is shouting for an encore, but the sound guy is shaking his head, ignore him and play anyway

You mean you're tuning UP to F? There is no E#. (# is the sharp sign). Or do you mean you're tuning down a half-step to Eb? (b is the flat sign).

Some people find it easier to bend strings, for example, on a 25.5" scale Strat tuned to Eb than tuned to E... it's less tension on the strings.
If someone's used to playing a 24.75" scale Les Paul in E, then it keeps the feel almost the same when switching to a Strat in Eb.

They could just switch string gauge/type.

                              E standard

and some Eb when called for.

my band plays a number of songs where I have to tune up to F as well.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

They could. Some people don't like switching gauges, though.
