My favorite site was mysongbook.com but that got all but shut down by the Music Publisher's group. I sent a well-written message to the president of that organization saying that I'd be glad to buy all of the Opeth, Symphony X, etc. tab books they could print, but since none were available I was forced to look elsewhere for my tabs. I failed to see how this was affecting the song owners' well-being. I never got a response.

No, ultimate-guitar.com has always been online and they have Guitar Pro, Powertab and standard tab files. And if anyone is interested in accurate Megadeth tabs, check Abysslords tabsite.
