Check out a bunch of VH tunes (and loads of 80s HR bands - loved the sus4 resolving to major chord riffs), Dragon's April Sun in Cuba (main riff is all Asus4 resolving to A, repeat), The Police's Message in a Bottle (built around a moving add9 or sus2 arpeggio), Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive (the D-Dsus4-Dsus2 thing by adding & removing fingers on high E string).

Great as a passing chord because they beg to be resolved.

absolutely, when VH started using those major and sus4 chord combinations.. they came the ultimate 80's chord progressions wich everyone used... no matter what style

prog rock guys like Gilmour, Howe, Hackett, Fripp etc. were pretty much the first guitarists in popular music who started heavily using the Sus chords.... sus2, sus4, 7sus2, 7sus4...

melodic leads, bluesy legato pentatonics mixed up with modal notes, tapping runs up and down the neck, fast dm picking, technical death thrash riffs, silly faces (aparrently i mouth every note when i'm soloing haha)

                    Cant explain really.... Something like

                    ------------------
                    ------------------
                    ------------------
                    ------------------
                    ----7-----5---3--
                    --0---000---0---- this.

Everytime i pick up my guitar i tend play this first. Palm mute the E string and bend-vibrato the A string. Nothing special...
