Low register Tapping

I've come up with a really weird tapping solo that has a tap on the 5th fret 5th string, if kinda sounds allrightish (hopefully because of my poor tapping technique)and i was wondering if you guys have tried anything like that? [img]graemlins/notworthy.gif[/img]

sure, i tap all over the neck...if it sounds funny to you, try a pull-off to the open d-string instead or almost immediately tap 12 frets above it very lightly to get the natural harmonic of the note...d.m.

i tried the open d thing but i cant find a way of muting it to stopit muddying the run. THanx for the 12th fret harmonic idea.
