  • Floyd gymnastics

I've always been a fixed bridge kind of guy, but at the same time love a challenge. I currently have 3 Floyd guitars, and wish I were a better player on them. Can anyone recommend some challenging tremolo exercises that I can work on? Links to videos would probably be the most helpful. Most printed tutorials seem to come in tab form, which really don't seem to capture Floyd techniques very well.

Are they floating or dive only? If they are full floating you can flutter the tremolo by kinda slapping the trem arm. Example:

ASi se hace el Flutter.. o mas o menos

Full floating. I have to say, the flutter stuff is too easy.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Check it out, definitely worth a watch and bookmark it for reference purposes.
Imo, darn good stuff to add to the bag of goodies, adding to the arsenal.

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Flicking the string with the left hand like in both videos doesn't really work for me, I just pick the string first.

But it definitely looks more flashy if you don't pick the string.
