  • Rusty Who ??

First i totally dig the chunk of this Ibanez 8 string. I dont really love
the 132nd notes (40bps!) But overall...this is a "stone cold groove, my
brutha!" Not nearly as chromatic as Rusty, so imo much more melodic and interesting to listen too. This guy has major "Carpel Tunnel" coming
    in his future!

    Holy crap that's impressive!!

It's nice, because he doesn't shred the WHOLE time, and when he's not he's a pretty good melodic player. But when he starts shredding it's just insane .

    I dig his guitar, too

That riffing in the beginning is VERY cool! The tone is simply AMAZING!

the fastest player I've seen was some black dude in James Brown band

Like Malmsteen when he pauses, and gets bluesy... When will these
metronome monsters learn about dead space and pausing for effect?
Yeah, i liked the blend of bending, and shredding. Shows what those
Ibeenhads can do in the tone department!

Sorry but i did'nt like it at all, the riffing was boring and the fast lines were pointless and stupid, sound was bad and i even hated his looks.

I dig the heavy tone of the 8 string for the rythyms...alot of his fast stuff sounded just plain silly IMO.

There was moments of coolness when he caught his breathe here and there..but I didn't really care for it.

There are so many better players out there..old and new...IMO!

He's got talent no doubt..but I'm spoiled to all the really good stuff through the years.

I like that fat kid with his balls in the camera MUCH better..that dude has it all ..groove, feel, speed, dynamics, and most important always musical.

Very impressive technique...so fast you cant even hear it

I love speed but speed just for the sake of speed is a waste of time.

To me its in the melody, not the number of note crammed in

I have been thinking of taking lessons from Rusty. He teaches here in the Houston area. One of our members here on the forum is one of his students I believe.

bit boring in the fast sections but the riffing and the slower soloing is awesome
