Isn't 8th note triplets at 220 bpm the same as straight 16th notes at 146 bpm? Don't mind me just brushing up on my math skills (took me 2 minutes to figure that out) but, DO correct me if I'm wrong.
they're only 8th note triplets. so that's 3 notes per beat.
3 x 220 = 660 notes/minute
so the corresponding 16th notes would be played at 165bpm
What you've calculated, mt, is the notes per minute for sextuplets at 220bpm, which is twice as fast. For some reason, as well as including the 3 notes per beat for the triplet, you've also doubled it by 2 notes per beat because they're 8th notes?!
