  • Bpm

Somebody i Know claims they can do 320bpm and higher.

    Is that possible?

what would you say Michael Angelo, and Yngwie Malmsteen can do?

    Re: Bpm

at what? 1/4 notes, 8th, 16th? what do they claim? If they say 8th or 1/4 notes ok, if they say 16th or higher they are full of shit.

YJM and MA probably average 16th notes at 180 - 200 bpm in their faster sections (as a guideline)

Which is the same as 32nds at 90- 100 bpm

They would often play 24/4 as well, that is common in shredding styles, since between 120 and 160 bpm it is difficult to play 32nds and 16th is a bit sluggish for shred at that bpm, so 24 notes per measure (6 notes or two sets of triplets per beat in a measure)
