He said D Minor is the saddest of keys. That used to be true before equal temperment tuning

Sorry, my bad. I was answering your posts assuming you were him

I play in B, same tuning as my 7-string.

I think it depends on the setup of your guitar and tone that determines out the sound of dropped tunings, If I remember rightly King Crimson hated standard tuning and decided that D standard was more conventional.

My Jackson is in D standard but my Welsey V is in C standard, just in case I feel like playing some Arch Enemy

All my geetars are in D, and have been for years. Except my 7 string..that's standard..but the low B is good 'nuff.

B standard here, on 25.5" scale 6-string Jacksons strung with 13-56 D'Addarios. The other guitarist plays a 7-string.

All I know is your singer has to be Nordic with dark hair and sing from the bowels of his lungs! Oh yeah, your band name must start with DE too. At least thats what Strongbad says
Learn to hot glue corn flaskes to your face the Strong Bad way and get your fill of D-E words, invisible orbs, and creepy rusty meat!

The guitars should all be black and crafted under the light of the full moon from the tree of a hanged man...or is it a hung man? "Well-hung?" Something or other....

One of your band members is supposed to be dead, too. Or killed somebody...preferably both.

I don't play death metal, but, since I normally tune in D, my Carvin DC727 is tuned in D also, with the low B one full step down to A: isn't muddy at all. It depends A LOT how you play/the amp settings.

If I play deathmetal is has got to be C#, like Dying Fetus among others.
