Oh yeah, one last thing, and it's really important. Make absolutely sure that a certain fingering works for you just fine, in the lower and upper registers of the neck. Go way down low and way up high. If you learn something wrong, it will be of no use to you. And the really important bit, if you're quite new, don't get those fingerings I suggested into your muscle memory straight away, check the fingerings of the different shapes thorougly, because I learnt them in a way that keeps them somewhat simmilar to each other (multiple fingers instead of a roll, occasional ring finger instead of pinky on the A string use, etc.). Remember, practice makes permanent, so learn it off right!

Thanks for those patterns. I think I'll try them out. I'm much better at sweeps in the lower octave of the fretboard as compared to the higher one. Probably because of my huge hands getting all mixed up."Dear Dr. Bill,

I made a nice post yesterday and uploaded some powertabs but my mum turned the power off so everything got lost before I could submit it.
But I would say for the Maj shapes in root position, DO use the same finger to get the 3 notes on the same fret because it's less movement and you can do it with less problems. It was the EASIEST shape for me becuase of this, so I recommend it for sure.

Now that I remember that pattern I use one finger for those 3 notes."Dear Dr. Bill,

I actually liked the kid... thats all he was was a kid. when you have certain people on this board that have totally blasted you and spoke of your mother in ways that you would see in a yahoo chat room, I don't blame him. Especially when these "attackers" are adults one even in their 40's. So much for the family values in here...

I think he may have been actually. In that stupid thread he made he managed to make all the regulars mad and it got to the point where it was requested that I Photoshop a sign that told him to go away. I can't help but notice his platinum membership was taken away too. Good riddance I say. You don't badmouth people like that and get away with it."Dear Dr. Bill,
