Cool Pick Juratex Jazz 1,2mm picks are great. I like them better than Ibanez sand grips.

      Just as a little plug:

Check out Dava picks, peoples! Fucking intense stuff. The fact that the tips are very heavy, yet really clear is the selling point for me.

However, good luck finding any over here

Just not to get my previous post buried, anyone know what the thickness of the Celluloid Classics is in milimetres? Much appreciated.

Started on Fender Heavy standard picks, then played Dunlop Tortex greens (.88) for a long time. Awhile back, I converted to Snarling Dogs Brain black (.88) picks. Just recently tried all of the Jazz III variants.

Ultex Jazz III is where it's at! My picking can get wide and sloppy. This pick forces you to be more accurate and precise.

Also with a large triangle you can rotate it when you wear it out, which I wear mine out alot, I have a bag of like 1000 of them.
I thought I was gonna be the only one using those Clayton Rounded Triangle picks! *fistbump* I use to use 1mm's, but when the local shop was out of stock of the 1's, I got some .8's and I actually really like them. I have a hard time using any pick thats not the triangles anymore as I've been using them for about 15 years now.

I went out and bought the complete Jazz III lineup and found myself always pickup the Jazz III Ultex. So I went out and bought a shit load more. I just gave away 43 Dunlop Tortex .73mm this weekend that were brand new just to get rid of them. The difference is awesome! I'm a believer in the Jazz III Ultex's!

I was a huge Ultex fan until Monday night, where I picked up some In Tune Jazz picks at a concert. I may find myself to be a convert, stay tuned.

Well, I'm back to regular size picks. 1.26 mm delrin one. As much as I would like to like the Jazz III, they feel weird when I'm holding them. May be it's the way I hold the pick?

Are you using the shredder "trigger grip"? That's how I hold the Jazz ones.

Try the Dunlop Ultex Sharps. They are great and regular-pick-sized with a jazz point.

Grim, here are the pics I'm using right now. Custom delrin 1.26 mm picks with my band's logo. I ordered them from Clayton's web site (an ad that appears once at the top of the forum).

I tried the ultex ones from Dunlop some time ago. I prefered the regular to the sharp one. But both were nice picks and very durable. I noticed that Clayton has the ultex material in their custom pick offering. But for my first order I kept the cost to a minimum and went with the basic material.

As for the shredder "trigger grip", what's that?

Here are two recent pictures of me playing:

Can you comment on the way I hold my pick?

You're close, the trigger grip involves the side of the index finger as opposed to the tip.
