  • Interval map for creating new chords

This is certainly not a new idea, but it was new to me when I decided to make this earlier. I wanted to be able to zero in on a root note anywhere on the neck and get some ideas for new chord voicings by looking at the scale intervals surrounding it.
This is not new information to me by any means, but as a visual tool it's been pretty inspirational.
Looking at this diagram has already inspired several new chords and inversions, including some wide stretches that I never thought of before.

I figured I'd post it here in case any of you guys might be inspired by it as well.

Thanks metalhead28! Nothing new, but for myself, checking these kind of diagrams builds confidence.

I prefer figuring this stuff out myself, but this is really cool. I saved it, there's nothing wrong with checking for accuracy.
