What are some good practice to build up speed to do solos and get good with alternate picking? Obviously start slow but how

This has nothing to do with right hand (unless you are new to legato) but for a practice tip for shredding, try to pick a string (I usually use the b string) and pick the 12th and then hammer onto 13 and 15 really fast, so you get that whole 3 finger per string line down, then you can do like 12 14 15 and then get those really fast and smooth, and then start moving it, that really helped me in the begining.Originally posted by C.C._Devill119 View PostI hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights.
