    I am NOT a gigging musician...not any more. I played in a couple of bands in the military and college. I took a five year hiatus about two years ago and came to realize, I didn't need all the gear I had. So, I down sized...a lot. Now I play at home. I would eventually like to hook up with people and maybe jam from time to time, but i think that's about it. So...here we go.

    VOX AD15VT. I did a two month search for a new amp. As we all know, it is the amp that creates the majority of the sound. I knew before testing that I did not want just a standard amp as several of my pedals had died over the years and I figured the cost of replacing all of them would be more expensive than an amp with modeling capabilities. So I had narrowed it down to four. What the deciding factor was simplicity and primary use indoors with neighbors. I use headphones. I wanted an amp that could c VOX AD15VT top. There are 12 amp models and 12 effects. The 'models' have effects added to them, kinda cool on occcasion, but that mode can be turned off so that there is just the true model. Supposedly this amp is one of the most sophisticated with it's modeling. Let's ask the people at Line 6 about that. Anyway, all the models are really quite good. The main reason I bought this was the clean channel. It is pristine and clear as a bell. This is what was required as I knew I was going to be running BOSS MT2 MetalZone. I got this off of one of the guys in the forum here. I don't care what anybody says about this pedal...it kicks ass. I use this and fine tune the eq through the amp as well and create a sound that is like thunder. HUGE difference compared to my old pedal (1986 BOSS Digital Metallizer). Lovely.
